Asymmetrical vest embroidered with a tone-on-tone twining ornament.

This piece is an interpretation of the black “Osiayna” vest. Etnodim combined the familiar silhouette with a rich shade to create a more expressive look.

The vest is designed to rest on the left shoulder and fasten with thin ties on the right. From the waistline, it is finished with “laptsi”, a traditional decorative feature of vests in western Ukraine. Along with their decorative purpose, laptsi also served a practical function, keeping the fabric smooth and ensuring the vest stays neatly in place during movement.
